The Mathabhanga College Library caters to the need of students and members of the College Staff. Student’s Identity Card which is essential for each and every student is issued at the time of admission.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday: 11 a.m. to 1-30 p.m.

The College has a Book Bank for helping the poor and S.C./S.T. students mainly.
Govt. Scholarship is recommended every year for the students belonging to S.C. /S.T. / OBC-A/ OBC-B Category.
As per West Bengal Minorities Development & Finance Corporation, a candidate of the minority community can apply online for scholarship. The website is www.minorityaffairs.gov.in. In case of fresh scholarships students can apply online.
The amount received from the students as contribution to the Students' Aid Fund is utilized to offer financial aid to the needy and meritorious students.
Free studentship is offered, as per norms / rules, to the students on the basis of merit and financial condition.
Mathabhanga College has a Boys' Hostel on its campus. The Hostel can accommodate 25 students. Applicants are selected for admission, taking into account their distance from home & inconvenience of communication. For Accommodation in the Hostel the students are asked to contact the Superintendent Sri Niren Barman, Librarian of the college.
(N. B. Male students of SC/ST category may avail themselves of Hostel accommodation in the Central Boys’ Hostel in the heart of Mathabhanga town. For the female students, Hostel accommodation is available centrally at the Girls' Hostel of the Mathabhanga Girls' High School and Babu Jagjiban Ram Girls' Hostel.)
Students' Health Home is an organization managed by a Governing Body. Its objective is to offer medical treatment to students free of cost. Mathabhanga College is a member of Coochbehar District Regional Students' Health Home. At the time of admission the College collects Rs. 10/- from each student. A student of this College can avail himself/herself of this facility. For further details students may contact Smt. Aparna Biswas and the G. S., Students’ Union of the college.
Admission to N. S. S. is open to all the students of the College. The willing students are advised to contact the N. S. S. Programme Officer, Sri Fulchan Barman, Assistant Professor of History.
For the betterment of the social responsibility and attitude towards life, the role of the NCC (National Cadets Corps) is very significant. Admission to the NCC is open to all students (boys & girls) of the college. Willing students are advised to contact the Associate NCC Officer, Mr. Ranjit Saibya, Department of Commerce.
Every year the NCC Cadets pass the 'B' & 'C' certificate examinations and they avail themselves of additional marks in the recruitment of the various armed forces. The NCC Cadets can take opportunity to attend National Integration Camps throughout India and others Camps within West Bengal with free food, travelling and dresses. In this year 2013, 99% Cadets have passed 'B' examination. From 2004 to 2012 more than 50 cadets joined different armed forces.
The College has an Alumni Association known as Mathabhanga College Alumni Association (MCAA). The alumni hold prominent position in the society. It is functioning under its Secretary Sri Niren Barman, Librarian.
Education is meant not only to nurture the excellence already in a gifted person but also to uplift the not-so-gifted, so that he/she is equipped so safeguard his/her interests. In order to bring the students belonging to S.C./S.T. category and Minority Community to the level necessary for pursuing higher studies, Mathabhanga College conducts free remedial coaching classes for them. Notification will be done in due time. Dr. Mausumi Bandyopadhyay, Assistant Professor of Bengali, is the Coordinator of the scheme.
The well-being and development of the S.C./S.T. category and Minority Community are important indicators of the strength and success of a democratic society. In order to prepare the aspirant candidates of the S.C./S.T. category and Minority Community for various competitive examinations, Mathabhanga College conducts free coaching classes for them. Advertisement will be done in due time. Smt. Ruma Dey, Assistant Professor of Commerce, is the Coordinator of the scheme.
A Study Centre for Distance Education has been opened under the Rabindra Bharati University from 2012. Eligible graduates can avail themselves of doing their M. A. in the following subjects: Bengali, English, Sanskrit, History, Political Science, Education and Environmental Studies. Advertisement/notification for admission will be done in due time.
